Children’s Books by Dave Mutton

Ever since his days in the book trade, Dave has loved children’s picture books.

Most parents are unaware of the detail and thought that goes into each book. The attention to fine detail to capture a child’s eye with small elements on the page; the pacing of a story at the right speed for younger readers and of course the right subject matter to keep and maintain a child’s focus, but without stimulating questions too soon.

Dave has three grandchildren ranging in ages from 3 to 7 and he has always encouraged reading and a love of books.

Now with Amazon on-demand printing and the power of generative AI, Dave is exploring the world of children’s picture books as an author/illustrator.

Aiden Saves the Day

Aiden loves all types of planes, but especially the bright red stunt planes.

One day, his Grandad Dave takes him on a surprise trip to the local airport.

Whilst there, Aiden meets one of his pilot heroes and then saves the day by finding a missing lucky scarf.

Based on the regular outings of Grandad Dave and his grandson Aiden, this picture focuses on the delight of a child watching world-class aeronautic displays, such as The Red Arrows
